What a visit covers
What we teach at home in Brooklyn
Many Brooklyn families care for a parent in a brownstone walk-up or a building apartment, often together with a home health aide who already comes during the week. A visit is one hour at your kitchen table or at the bedside: the nurse shows each step, watches you and your aide practice, answers your questions and leaves written steps you can keep. Choose one topic, or bring a list.
Tap a topic to book it — or choose “In-home visit — any topic” and bring your list of questions.

Neighborhoods we visit in Brooklyn
We visit every part of Brooklyn — the Russian-speaking neighborhoods along the southern shore, the brownstone blocks of the north and the quieter streets of the southeast. When you book, add the cross streets and the floor, and the nurse plans the route.

Hospitals, rehab centers and nursing homes
If your loved one is in a Brooklyn hospital, rehab center or nursing home, we can meet you at the bedside as the patient’s guest: we go over the care plan in plain English or Russian, help you prepare questions for the team, and get the family ready for discharge. The facility’s own staff give all the care.

Questions
Questions from Brooklyn families
Can the visit be in Russian?
Yes. Visits are in English or Russian, and the written steps the nurse leaves are in the language you choose. Tell us which language when you book.
My mother already has a home health aide. Can the aide learn too?
Yes — it is one of the most useful visits. The nurse teaches the family and the aide you already have the routine together: safe transfers, skin checks, the medication schedule and what to report. We do not supply aides; if you need one, we can point you to licensed home care agencies.
My father comes home from the hospital this week. When should we book?
Book for the day of discharge or the day after. The nurse reads the discharge papers with you, compares the old and new medications, goes over the equipment and supplies, and teaches the new routine. Questions for the doctor are written down for you.
Is it covered by insurance?
Visits are private pay; we do not bill insurance. The first visit is $100, then $150 a visit, and a 30-minute phone consultation is $50.
Other areas we serve
Our nurses teach — they do not provide hands-on nursing care, and they do not replace your doctor, home health agency, facility staff or aide. We teach the care your physician or nurse practitioner ordered. We are not a licensed home care services agency or a Medicare-certified home health agency, and we do not employ or place home health aides. In an emergency, call 911.
